Congratulations DJ Khaled, you played yourself… kind of! Last July, Khaled took to Snapchat to pour some Belaire sparkling wine and Ciroc vodka in his Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and people are not happy. And no, it’s not Chef Wendell. The consumer watchdog group, Truth in Advertising is coming after Khaled for breaking federal law. DJ Khaled is in trouble for not disclosing his posts were ads and promoting alcohol to an audience that’s mainly under 21. Thankfully, DJ Khaled and TINA have reached an understanding. DJ Khaled deleted past posts without ad disclosure and he now has been adding the hashtag #ad to his posts and promoting a message to drink responsibly. TINA will not be filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, but they will keep an eye on Khaled’s social media. All he does is win… even when he’s in trouble!
