Honest opinions on big brand wines (6) 19 Crimes Chard

Next up in my big-brand vlogging series: 19 Crimes ‘Chard’

Here’s my tasting note of the same wine:

19 Crimes Chard 2018 Australia
13% alcohol
You have to love the distinctive branding of this wine, with the frosted bottle and the fun (and slightly brave) back story about transporting people to Australia from the UK instead of killing them. This has nice toasty richness to the well balanced pear, peach and mandarin fruit. There’s a touch of cedar/vanilla oak there, but it’s hiding nicely in the background, along with a twist of clove. There’s a nice balance of freshness and richness here, and while it’s a crowd pleaser, it keeps its manners. 84/100
